Our names are Will & Misty. Will grew up a Navy kid so he moved a good bit. Misty grew up in a small town in south GA. We both moved to the suburbs of Phoenix, AZ around the same time 1999/2000. We met out there, where we lived until a job offer took us and our two daughters to NoVA. We didn’t care for life there and spent several years deciding where to plant our roots.
During those research years, we did a lot of traveling. We happened to fall in love with Maine. Eventually it became clear this was the place for us. We found our little farm, went through a lot of stress to purchase it and the rest is history. Our goal is to live a simpler life, closer to the earth and the food which sustains us. We also hope to share the bounty with others along the way.
Another motivating factor, at least for me (Misty) is to live more like our ancestors did and to honor their cultures. As a history enthusiast with a passionate interest in my predominately Norwegian and Irish roots, many aspects of our farm are a nod to those cultures.
Thank you for visiting our site and for your interest in our farm.

“Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.”
